One of my favorite pastimes is to
take long meandering Sunday afternoon rides someplace, anyplace really. Me, my dogs, and my camera. On the day I took these pictures it was one of those wonderful
winter afternoons when the fading sun was struggling to break its way through the low clouds. It was cold and gray,
the way I like it. I was blessed to find
a series of narrow, deserted country roads. I blasted classical music through
the wide-open windows where the dogs were draped out on the doors, and there
was no one around to hear to complain or ask for more cowbell. Every few miles
I pulled over to the side of the road, turned off the music, and listened to the
countryside.
