Before I step out into the world each day
Before I step out into the
world each day I remind myself that everyone…everyone….perceives the world completely differently then I do
because everyone, everyone, is different
from me and different from everyone else. It’s a seemingly simple lesson but I
use that simple lesson as my means to communicate and understand others
effectively and it works. And as a result I live in a conflict free environment.
Have faith.
Have faith.
Nothing will give you as much
strength as faith and not because faith makes things easier but rather because
faith makes things possible.
Faith gives us the peace of mind to listen to
our own voice, to be in touch with our soul, faith blocks out the noise of the
world.
When faith becomes your life guide
you will no longer live by sight.
What is love?
What is love?
This is love
Love is patient
love is kind.
It does not envy
it does not boast
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily
angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs
Love does not delight
in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres
Run don't walk (That's a play a song title)
In the daily course of life, at some point we are all going to run
across that poor soul who is always angry and always looking for a problem.
Don’t walk away from people like that that…RUN AWAY FROM PEOPLE LIKE THAT…run
as fast as you can, as far as you can to get away from them. Let them alone
because the battle they’re looking to fight is with themselves and not with
you. Remember, conflict cannot survive without participation.
My Daily Prayer
Below is a prayer I recite every day, it’s
called the Prayer of Saint Francis.
Usually I just have a one-on-one conversation
with God but the Prayer of Saint Francis is e my talking points (For lack of a
better way to put it) meaning I use it
as a rough guide of what I need to do in the course of a day.
By the way, St. Francis, as brillant and
awesome (A much over used word) as he was, didn’t write this prayer, somebody
made that up. A fan of St. Francis I suspect. The prayer was more than probably
written in about 1912 (St. Francis lived in the 13th century)
by Fr. Esther Bouquerel.
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is discord, harmony;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
