Almost everyone has a less than
perfect version of themselves, a self-created rendering that sees only the
flaws in our character, a side of us that is fed with our insecurities and
grasped under the misunderstanding that no one will love us if they saw our imperfections
so we hide that side of ourselves…..well don’t do that.
You are who you are,
flaws and bumps and failings, you are who you are. Allow someone to see all of
you and give them the chance to accept all of you. It’s their decision, not
yours.
The writer Marc Hack said it best
when he said that to believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are
broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than
perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window
and illuminating a dark room.
